Start from the start

To keep our commitment to our partner, and to weather the most difficult storms, we need strong roots.

If we wait until there is trouble with our partner to try and solve it, we won’t have built strong enough roots to withstand the assault.

The roots of a lasting relationship are mindfulness, deep listening and loving speech, and a strong community to support you.

  1. The problem with most relationships is that couples have plans on how to enjoy life and be happy, but they do not have plans on how to resolve disputes. This makes them think about breakup once they have issues. To build a strong root, couples need to be intimate because that will help improve their confidence in living together as one. And this intimacy can help them in favourable ways towards physical, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual upliftment. As a consequence, they will have a lot in common and become more tolerable to each other in those areas where they don’t share the same interest. Trust, acceptance, assistance, appreciation, tolerance, vulnerability and high opinion of oneself can be achieved when a couple is intimate.
