Shatter the Silence

Share your stories, share your experiences, spread the word, help raise awareness. Check out Nícia’s inspiring series for the Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Let’s encourage each other to come out and talk about it.

If not now, when?

  1. It’s a good initiative and could encourage healing if one could share one’s awful experience.

  2. Some stories can’t be told – because they break the stereotypes that the society has so carefully raised; some abuses aren’t sexual and yet they leave one marked for life. I think it’s a fantastic initiative – doesn’t matter how people share their stories, but as long as they can bring themselves to share even a little – it could initiate a process of healing.

We’ve got to break those carefully placed, convenient stereotypes… any sort of abuse is destructive and all directly (don’t think there’s such a thing as ‘indirectly’ in these cases) affect our mental health…

Do you have an experience to share?

If time permits, please have a look at Nicia’s post on her page 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and supporting this initiative 🙂

    2. Experiences that I can only share reflections of…I share them sometimes, but in the garb of fiction. I will check Nicia’s post.
